“The Key to Time” to get a non-limited DVD re-release

8th October 2009« Previous PostNext Post »

Good news for anybody who missed out on the limited edition release the first time around, as 2Entertain have confirmed that they will be re-issuing “The Key to Time” DVD box set on 16th November in a non-limited release. It’ll also take up less space on your shelf than the limited edition, as it’ll be in packaging similar to that used for the new series 1 to 4 box sets. RRP is £69.99.
If you haven’t already seen “The Key to Time”, then you’re missing out on some top notch vintage Who, featuring some iconic villains like the Black Guardian, to some wonderfully wacky adventures like the Pirate Planet penned by none other than the late Douglas Adams himself. It also features the first appearance of the well liked Doctor’s companion, Romana, the Timelady played by Lalla Ward.

Except that, of course, this is Romana’s earlier, pre-regenerated Time Lady played by the wonderful Mary Tamm – in the the only series and set of stories where she was a companion.

It’s classic watching for nostalgic Who fans, though.
